Like many of my characters, I have an invisible illness—Grave’s disease—and have struggled with my weight most of my life. But with the help of an amazing man, I’ve learned to embrace my imperfections. When you find someone like that, hold on tight. I did, and now we live in Seattle with a teenager and three goofy cats, and I spend my days creating love and chaos for my characters, and playing in the rain.
